Part one of the bible character emoji bible quiz was fun to create. Coming up with appropriate emojis to use to give context around the character was thrilling. Glad emojipedia exist; it certainly helped with understanding what the emojis mean.

Part one of the bible emoji trivia questions are below. Why don’t you have a go and guess who the bible characters are? Are you stuck? Don’t you worry! The answers are further below. We’ve also included the bible references. Unless otherwise stated, the bible references are got from the New Living Translation (NLT) version of the bible.

Guess the bible character emoji quiz answers - Part 1

1) Noah – God instructed Noah to build an ark and take his family and two of every kind of animal into the ark, for as it was going to rain for 40 days and 40 nights. Noah did everything God commanded him to do. It rained and every living thing on the earth was destroyed. After the rain, God rainbow as a promise that He would never again destroy every living thing on earth again. (Genesis 7 and 8).


2) David – He was a shepherd boy, who God chose to be the King of Israel (1st Samuel 16). David, the man after God’s heart, sand many of his prayers to Lord. He wrote at least half of the Psalms, which were to be sung, not just read.


3) Mary – She was a young lady, whom the Angel Gabriel appeared to. He told her she was going to be pregnant and give birth to Baby Jesus. She was confused by this as she was a virgin but surrendered to the will of God. She gave birth to our Lord Jesus. (Luke 1, 2)

4) Samson – He was a rather strong man who was menace to Israel’s enemies, the Philistines. He was a Nizirite whose source of strength was in his hair. However, he had a weakness for the ladies. He fell in love with Delilah, who cut his hair off. He became weak and was captured by his enemies who eventually plucked his eyes out. Eek! (Judges 13, 16)


5) Eve – God instructed Adam, the first man he created, not to eat from the tree which gives knowledge of good and evil. The devil through a snake appeared to Eve, his wife, and tempted her to eat from the tree. She yielded and sure felt sad after herself and her husband, Adam disobeyed God’s instruction. (Genesis 3)


6) Daniel – He prayed to God despite the king making a decree that no one should. As a result he was put into the lion’s den. However, God protected Daniel and he wasn’t harmed (Daniel 6).

7) Hannah – She was a lady who was barren. In the temple, she cried so much and prayed to God for a child. God, through Eli the prophet, assured her that he had heard her prayers. Sure enough, she became pregnant and give birth to Samuel (1st Samuel 1).


8) Saul – He was the first king of Israel appointed. He later disobeyed God and did evil things. (1st Samuel 10, 16).


9) Jesus – Jesus turned water into wine at the wedding at Cana. This is the first miracle attributed to Jesus according to the book of John in the bible. (John 2: 1-11).


10) Baby Moses – He was put in a basket made of reeds among the tall grass at the edge of the Nile River, by his mother. This was because the king had made a decree that every time a boy was born to the Hebrews, they must be killed. She was trying to save his life (Exodus 2: 1–10).
